What personal data we collect and why we collect it
General Statement of Privacy Policy
This privacy policy covers this website and our use of personal information.
We’re currently gathering personal information via forms to perform requested services. At some point soon we’ll be sending emails to our supporters.
Our use of your personal information is
Private: You can unsubscribe from lists at any time. We retain enough information to make sure you remain unsubscribed. We’ll remove all trace of your information if you ask us to do that.
Spam-free: We don’t share your information with anyone else.
If you sign up for our mailing list, we require you to opt in twice – first on requesting to sign up, then confirming your registration via a link we send to your email.
Comments
We’re not permitting comments on the website at this time.
If and when visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
We’re not permitting image uploads by website users at this time.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
When you fill out a contact form, we retain the information you’ve given us so we can perform the service you’re requesting. See “General Statement of Privacy Policy” for how we handle that information.
Cookies
We’re not using comments on the website at this time. We’re not providing website accounts to the public at this time.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you’ve visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We’re not currently using analytic software or services at this time.
Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, or have filled out a form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
We don’t send your data anywhere.
Your contact information
This is part of your personal information, protected by this policy.
Additional information
How we protect your data
We protect your data in a number of ways. We only allow a small number of trusted staffers to access supporter data. We enforce high-quality login, password and physical security. In the rare case where we would print or write out any supporter data, we dispose if it when we’re done using it with a secure shredder. Our website uses the current industry standard SSL encryption, that’s the “https://” you see when you visit our site. This protects all data leaving or entering the website.
What data breach procedures we have in place
The website and our campaign’s local computers use a full suite of anti-virus, anti-malware and anti-intrusion software. Our server is protected by similar software and hardware. When and if we detect a data breach, we would immediately lock down the website, allowing no data except the pages themselves to flow in or out. We’d inform any website users about the breach and what we’re doing about it. We have a consultant on call who would help us recover from any breach.
What third parties we receive data from
None.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
None.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
None.
